I have over 20 years of experience working alongside individuals, couples, and families guiding them towards identifying and working through patterns in their lives. In my practice, I address a wide range of needs and work with clients of all ages with diverse issues. My specialties and interests include the following: helping people with relationship issues, trauma, divorce, transitioning to parenthood, parenting difficulties, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, prenatal and postnatal anxiety and depression, difficulty determining career/academic goals, and painful life transitions.
Prior to establishing a private practice, I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University in 2002. Since graduating, I have also worked for many years in school settings and agencies providing mental health services to families and individuals in need in both New York City and Los Angeles.
In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a personalized approach to therapy tailored to each client’s individual needs. Together we can bring clarity to the events and transitions that have contributed to current life experiences, creating real and lasting change for the future. In my work I have witnessed many people experience pain and sickness in the body which may be stemming from emotional stress or trauma. I often combine talk therapy with body awareness in order to establish a connection and help heal this stress or trauma. It is my belief that hidden among these dark and difficult times, lie beautiful gifts of insight and possibility. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to help you achieve your goals
